Compliance Resources

MIT Policies

  • The Policies and Procedures guide faculty and staff members in the pursuit of Institute objectives and in relations with the community at large. Some of these policies apply to the entire Institute community.

  • MIT's Personnel Policy Manual provides employment policies for employees in nonacademic roles, including the administrative, sponsored research, support and service staffs.

  • The Mind and Hand Book is a guide for all MIT undergraduate and graduate students.

Education and Training

MIT offers compliance training in various areas across the Institute. The MIT Learning Center, accessible through Atlas, provides an array of online and in-person training opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. The trainings range in subject matter from environmental health and safety (EHS) - which has a full suite of required and recommended trainings - to sponsored research, campus safety, and human resources.
